My name is Jeremy Balfour, and this is Out and About in the Lothians. As part of my Job as the Member of the Scottish Parliament for the Lothian Region, I get to travel around meeting interesting people who make a difference in our community. The purpose of this podcast is to share their stories. Vintage Vibes is a charitable organization in Edinburgh that provides companionship and support to people over 60 who are experiencing loneliness and social isolation. By matching volunteers with "VIPs" (Vintage Vibes' term for those they help), the organization fosters meaningful relationships and helps combat isolation in the local community. This week Jeremy meets up with Georgia to find out more.

Tackling Isolation and Loneliness in Edinburgh | Vintage Vibes

This month Vintage Vibes are celebrating entering our 10th year, reaching over 30,000 hours of friendship within Edinburgh and receiving a Generations Working Together Excellence Award in recognition of our work listening to and empowering our community.
